MAHSR C3 Station & Depot
Precast earth-retaining and boundary works for the C3 station and depot of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor at Boisar, Palghar: retaining walls, T-walls, footings and a wall compound.
The challenge
High embankments and level changes inside a working rail site, on a corridor where every structure is built to a tight programme and a strict standard.
The solution
Super Group supplied L-type retaining walls and inverted-T segmental walls to hold the fill at the level changes. Each unit is cast in a steel mould and set by crane, so a wall goes up as fast as units can be lifted.
Precast footings were supplied cast in the factory and set in their pits, so no shuttering or curing time in the ground.
A precast wall compound closes the site boundary.
Benefits
- Walls built by crane, unit after unit
- Factory-made units to one standard
- No shuttering or curing in the pits
- Retaining, footings and boundary from one supplier
